LBR iiwa Lightweight Cobot

The LBR iiwa, one of KUKA's lightweight cobots, excels in delicate assembly work, enabling human-robot collaboration without the need for safety fences. It is the world’s first series-produced sensitive robot, making it HRC-compatible. With the LBR iiwa, humans and robots can collaborate closely on highly sensitive tasks, opening new application possibilities and enhancing cost-effectiveness and efficiency. It also operates on KUKA’s new operating system, iiQKA.OS, capable of handling cobot applications ranging from small and simple to large and complex.

Features :
  • The LBR iiwa can detect contact immediately, reducing its force and speed instantly. Its position and compliance control allow it to handle delicate components without posing crushing or shearing hazards.
  • It offers three operating modes and can be programmed via simulation: indicate the desired position, and it will remember the coordinates of the path point. You can pause for breaks and control it with simple touch commands.
  • Equipped with high-performance servo control, it can quickly detect contours under force control. This ensures precise installation and mounting of components, with an axis-specific torque accuracy of ±2% of the maximum torque.
  • The LBR iiwa can locate small, delicate components quickly and without assistance.
  • The LBR iiwa's controller, the KUKA Sunrise Cabinet, simplifies the quick start-up of even complex applications. It can assist operators by reliably and independently handling unergonomic, monotonous tasks.
